HELICOPTER PARENTING YOUR OWN LIFE
If you truly desire to bring the things you see inside of you to life, to bring them to life in a way which is of the UTMOST alignment, causing your soul to sing a continual melody of YES, and the heavens themselves to open in admiration for you, then perhaps the greatest discipline for you to practice right now,
is surrender.
I’m talking about relaxing. Completely. Letting go. Fully. Trusting. Wholeheartedly. That who you are now and what you have done up til now and what you are doing in THIS now –
is enough.
That you are safe.
On track.
Taken care of.
EXACTLY WHERE YOU NEED TO BE AND EVERYTHING IS EXACTLY AS IT SHOULD BE, and therefore –
you can be fully present, because there is nowhere else you need to be, nothing else you need to do, no possible way you can screw it up, and everything.is.GOOD!
(When I say good,
you know that I mean holy freaking INSANE / amazing. MINIMUM).
Yes.
I get that there are still OH so many reasons why you can’t possibly allow yourself to trust like this, live like this, let go like this, relax like this, because, well because – !
The money …
The time …
The responsibilities …
The places you were supposed to be by now …
The ENDLESSNESS of all that you’ve not yet done and really really have to, or else!
But at the same time –
How is this possibly going to serve you?
My LOVE –
HOW,
is this possibly going to serve you?
So you don’t have everything you want yet, you’re miles from so many things you feel you NEED, you’ve so far to go still to prove yourself, there is SO FREAKING MUCH TO DO and if you don’t hold it all over yourself it will never get done, so SHOULD –
I get all of this. GOSH, do I get it. I have lived and breathed THAT sort of belief system for so many of my years that I should have got an award for it!
But at the same time,
WILL it be,
that you accomplish the things
achieve the things
tick off the things
become the thing
because you refused to allow yourself to BE the thing you ultimately aspire to one day be able to be,
you know – the relaxed and present and in her true BEINGNESS you –
and instead held all this stuff over your own head as some kind of never-ending stick to jump after in order to be allowed to deserve to be!
It’s exhausting.
It’s completely contradictory to everything you actually believe and stand for, perhaps even teach. (No wonder the sales don’t flow as they should; why should THEY believe you more than YOU believe you?!)
And,
it’s a trap.
When you live with a mindset of NOT enough, NOT safe, NOT there yet, NOT able to relax yet, NOT having DONE enough yet,
you will continue to experience all of that.
So let’s imagine! A CRAZY LITTLE GAME OF IMAGINE.
Let’s PLAY a game of imagining that right now, as of this moment, you decided to let go of all of it.
You decided to appoint yourself as having done enough, now.
As being enough, now.
As being ‘there’ enough, now.
And you made a new rule, that there is ‘nothing I have to do, EVER’.
You absolved yourself, in this little game of imagine, of ALL responsibilities and shoulds.
And you decided that the discipline you would now adhere to would be the discipline of TRUST.
Acting from it.
Choosing it on repeat.
Living INTO it.
And filtering every choice you make and every one you were about to make THROUGH it.
What would you do?
How would your day flow?
Who would you be?
I think –
there is a part of you which you could call out, shake out, and FLING out, today, which says – I CAN’T DO THAT BECAUSE I AM INHERENTLY A BAD OR LAZY PERSON WHO CANNOT BE TRUSTED TO BE LEFT ALONE WITH HER OWN LIFE, AND BESIDES I AM ALREADY SO FAR BEHIND AND THIS WOULD ONLY MAKE ME FALL FURTHER BEHIND!
When you listen to that part of you,
as I know you have for so long been prone to do,
you live a life of helicopter parenting your own SOUL!
And,
you WILL give your life for that. IT’S A ONE WAY TICKET TO DESTINATIONN SOUL CONTRACTION.
So if that’s what floats your boat,
what makes SENSE to you,
deeper down, beneath that surface and FEAR-conditioned part of you who thinks it’s just how life is,
then by all means – !
Drip drip.
It’s only your LIFE you’re playing with.
But if there’s a deeper part of you who KNOWS that you can be trusted to be left alone with your own life,
your business,
your money,
your art,
and the soul work which you have been gifted to gift on in return,
well then.
What exactly do you imagine are the consequences of continuing to not live for that?
And,
what exactly, if you’re HONEST, and refuse to let fear have a voice, do you imagine the consequences are of living FULLY for that?
I’ll leave you to sit with this. Think on it. Swish it around, and see if you like the taste, but I will say this –
HONESTLY.
Are you actually disconnected enough to believe that the pathway to create everything you see inside of you is one of denying everything that you actually are?
You know what to do.
I SUGGEST YOU DISCIPLINE YOURSELF TO TRUST,
or bear the actual thing you should be scared of,
your life –
given for an endless list of shoulds.
