Success/Success Mindset

How to Level UP … fast!

Quick heads up gorgeous: strategy and ‘what to do’? Let’s just put that stuff aside for a mo’. And let’s talk about what it takes. What it REALLY takes. To create the business, the life, the YOU you dream of, and to do it from alignment and FAST.

First, a question for you:

Do you feel as though you’re on a sure path to success right now?

One of the most powerful lessons I’ve learned about achieving my big life dreams is that once I ‘see’ myself as being a certain type of person with a certain level of success, it becomes my reality very very quickly. For this reason it’s far more to my benefit to focus on who I need to be and what I need to believe, before EVER worrying about what I need to do in order to hit a particular goal.

In fact, every time I freak out a bit and get caught up in worrying about what actions I should take to achieve the next level or to bring myself back from a slump, it ends up slowing DOWN my progress and I often find I’m running around in circles, fighting to ‘push’ my way to success and getting caught up in a lot of random stuff that, in retrospect, doesn’t really matter.

The reality for all of us is that regardless of how big and fancy the goal might be, the fastest way to get there is simply to become the sort of person to whom living with that sort of success is normal, ‘everyday’ and almost even taken for granted.

Which means that all of this worry and stress about what to DO to achieve your dreams?

Is kind of a waste of time …

If you think about the sort of money you want to see coming in, day in and day out, automatically, does it feel normal, a sure thing, as though – der – of COURSE you’re going to make that much money each day? Or does it feel either impossible – way too unrealistic – or alternatively CRAZY EXCITING like it would just be ohmyGodtooawesome and socoolyoucan’tbelieveit?!

If you think about the kind of shape you want to be in, does it feel like a ‘done deal’ in your mind, or is it either an impossible dream or an over the top fantasy?

If you think about what you want to be known for and the kind of work you REALLY want to do with people, is it just what you expect and you KNOW you’ll create it and already are? Or does it seem like it’s always just as far away as ever, no matter how hard you try, and that if you DID get there you wouldn’t be able to sustain it or you’d somehow be cheating?

What I’m asking here really is simple:

Do you EXPECT to reach and maintain your dreams, or do you EXPECT them always to be a distant ‘one day’ fantasy?

If you don’t expect your dreams to be your reality, and you really DO want to bring those dreams to life, then isn’t it time to actively work on changing your beliefs so that you can in fact finally change your life?

Consider:

All of the current success you enjoy in life is a direct outcome of what you believe.

See yourself as fit, you’ll become fit or fitter.
See yourself as happy, it’ll tend to be your default.
See yourself as a certain ‘type’ of mother, it’ll be true.
See yourself ‘of course’ receiving a certain range of income (or not!) then that will be your reality.

You might veer a little above or a little below the ranges you consider your ‘normal’ in a given area of life but overall what YOU think is normal will BE your normal.

So if you want to change ANYTHING in life, and achieve incredible success, then it stands to reason that the most important thing to do is to change your normal. In other words?

Change what you believe and you’ll change your life. Here’s what you need to understand about this INCREDIBLY powerful concept, and some basic ideas of how to get started in implementing it.

1. If It’s Normal, It’s Largely Automatic

To achieve your goal, any goal, you have to be able to think of yourself as already being there. It has to be normal to be there, such that if you ‘slipped’ you’d very quickly course correct because you’d be going BACK to your normal. Once living at a certain standard feels normal then even if you’re not there it will be easy for you to get back there – you’ll automatically know how to to think and what to do, and you can write out a simple plan to follow and then just roll it out. It feels so wrong to NOT be there that you very quickly get yourself back there.

2. If It’s NOT Normal, No Plan Will Work!

If you’re trying to achieve a goal that is NOT normal for you yet then following a plan will NOT work. You won’t know how to make a plan for this goal anyway! Why would you; you’ve never been there? The biggest thing to realise is that it’s pointless to make plans for goals you aren’t already an internal match to achieving – your focus should be on elevating your thinking to the level where achieving that goal IS normal.

3. What’s the ‘Vibe’ of the Thing?

Achieving success is only as hard as what it feels like it will be in your head. So if your thoughts, feelings, beliefs and behaviours make it seem natural and straightforward, it will be. It’s not even really like a ‘goal’ then, it’s more just something you’re going to do. Obviously. Because why the heck wouldn’t you? This is true whether it’s having a fitness model body or making hundreds of thousands of dollars per month – ANYTHING can seem normal and therefore straightforward if your internal reality makes it so.

Goals you’re already internally aligned with will feel fairly effortless and flow-based to achieve – you’ll naturally know what you should be doing, whereas goals you are NOT a match for tend to feel messy, scary, and even though you may make plans you feel a lot of resistance towards them and the truth is you’re not sure if the plans you’re making make sense.

Think about it … when you already TOTALLY know how to do something you don’t HAVE to think about HOW to do it, you just go ahead and do it! This means you are aligned to being able to easily achieve that goal.

4. Match the Vibe, Get the Result

The number one thing you need to focus on if you’re not where you want to be in a given area is changing your inner state to match the vibe of being there. The goal needs to feel normal, exciting but not a big deal, and there needs to be a sense of ‘der, of COURSE!’ when you think about whether or not you’ll get there.

Taking action to achieve the goal should be fairly automatic; just who you are, not something you really have to think about at all. It just happens.

So here’s what it comes down to …

Who will YOU be when you get to ‘there’? If you can answer that –

Feel it –

And KNOW it to already be true –

Then the ‘getting there’ will become automatic. Would you need instructions and a step-by-step plan to know how to do something that is normal for you? No. So while it makes sense to think that following a plan for a new goal would work the truth is that it’s largely a shot in the dark and if you don’t believe YOU can live / be that way then it won’t come to fruition.

So focus on what YOU need to understand in order to think at the level of someone who is already there.

Ask yourself:

* What it is you want
* What it would feel like to be there / who YOU would be when you’re at that level
* What in your current reality is NOT going to do you any favours
* What INTERNAL work you need to do in order to grow your thinking, mindset and expectations to the level you need to be at
