SET EVERYTHING UP SO YOU CAN JUST DO WHAT YOU CAN’T NOT

The purpose of your business and the empire you’re building should not be to make money, get some sort of fame and acclaim, grow a big audience or even, actually, to help people.

All of these things are a given and a natural OUTCOME, one which you pretty much wouldn’t be able to avoid even if you tried, when you build your business based on what it’s actually meant to be about – getting everything working so that YOU can spend your days doing what you can’t not.

Wasn’t the entire point, since before you even began all of this, that you wanted to live a certain type of life, be a certain type of person, have a particular kind of freedom and choice for how you go about your day, and also FINALLY KNOW THAT EVERY SINGLE DAY YOU’RE DOING WHAT YOU’RE MEANT TO DO?

Saying yes to that voice which has ALWAYS been there compelling you to speak, to share, to unleash, to tell the world Very Important Things Which They Have to Hear!

You were born to write, to teach, to PREACH, to be that person who shares truths which have always been there but in a way which actually stops people, leaves them breathless, and then propels them into ACTION to finally live the life they were meant to live.

But, how are you ever going to truly do that when the way you go about your own days is you’re continually thinking of how to make more freakin’ money or get more leads?!

If THAT is your guiding light, the ‘filter’ through which you make decisions on how to spend your energy, your time, your focus, your YOU-ness, then how in the name of all get out do you expect to ever create an outcome in which you can hand on your heart each day say YES –

I did what I came here to do.

I did the work of my SOUL.

I listened to God and I HEEDED.

I was focused.

I was single-minded.

I chose PURPOSE.

I chose PASSION.

I chose FLOW.

And I let everything other thing either fall away along the way, or else come along for the ride and sort itSELF out, because WHEN YOU SAY YES TO YOUR SOUL LIFE SAYS YES TO YOU.

You THINK that if you want to make more money, building your audience, get your shit selling like hotcakes that you should be asking yourself questions around what to do to achieve this, and that your time and energy should be spent on, well, achieving it, but NO –

You KNOW that YOU came to this earth to give your life for something so much bigger than that that it is ridiculous, outrageous and WILDLY irresponsible for you to be instead giving that life to the tweaking of numbers and the ins and outs of what tiny adjustment to your bullshit strategy you think will finally allow you to get to where you want to go so that you can then be who you’re meant to be.

That’s not how it works!

You will get to wherever you’re meant to go (and also REALLY not give much of a fuck about it by that point) when you FIRST be who you’re meant to be.

Also ALL strategy is bullshit when soul wasn’t put first.

So don’t get up in arms about THAT, you already know it.

It’s time to get back to some fundamental truth around productivity, efficiency, doing what is meant to be done in your life, and being the you who you know you must:

PUT FIRST THINGS FIRST OR DON’T BE SURPRISED WHEN YOU NEVER SEE ‘EM COME TO LIFE!

This is LITERAL.

It means that in the morning you GUARD your time, your energy, your mind.

You do not look at or attend to anything that the rest of the world is up to, including and perhaps especially all the many different people who in some way have the ability to communicate with you.

You put your blinders on.

You DON’T EVEN LOOK. What, you want your day to be dictated by the fact that you quickly scanned social media and the news on first waking? You think that that doesn’t make an impact, when the FIRST thing you feed your soul is from outside of you rather than from within you or up above you?

IT MAKES AN IMPACT.

It makes a fucking difference.

It makes ALL the difference, it literally means your life goes either this way – (purpose, destiny, legacy, passion, flow, YES) –

Or THAT way – (down the endless damn rabbit hole of social media, the world at large, and everybody else’s ideas or expectations for you).

You are a PRODUCT of where your energy goes, and what you are putting first SHOWS.

So when you start your day responsive to –

* What do I needa to today to get more leads through
* Sell my shit
* Convert those peeps
* Be seen as cool
* Validate myself
* Feel loved and accepted by others

– firstly you likely then spend the ENTIRE day going down that path (and by default your entire life)

– and secondly, THAT IS NOT WHAT BUSINESS IS MEANT TO BE ABOUT!

Business is a VEHICLE to allow you to be able to spend the bulk of your day doing what you can’t not and also BEING who you can’t not.

The messaging, the letting forth, and also the simple joy of living, of delighting in breath and nature and the laughs of your loved ones. Connection to God, life, self.

That’s pretty much it!!

Everything else is a bonus, an add-on, optional.

So why do you act like it’s the other way around and that everything else is what matters, and you continually put the ACTUAL first things, the things you supposedly value and are meant to have your life be about, on the back-burner?

Don’t you realise that when you put the things your SOUL is asking for first then everything else just starts to fall into place? It either sorts itself out, or you find that it doesn’t actually matter at all the way you thought it did … it was a myth and a falsity that you needed to bother with it at all; it was a seduction away from purpose and truth. That’s just how it is.

And then even when you DO come to ‘strategy’ and the fiddling with numbers and the part of your day where you think about what to do to grow income, audience, etc (always AFTER you do the actual soul work yeah, AND get it out into the world however it is meant to be), then the way to do it is from a perspective of ‘how do I build this thing in order to allow me to do more of what I can’t NOT’

(write, speak, message, unleash, live your damn life)

NOT –

How do I build it to make more money / grow my list / etc. That’s a backward way of asking it. The entire premise which you already KNOW in your soul is true is that the money’n’shit follows putting first things first.

YES you still gotta hustle.
YES you obviously still gotta put offers together, ask for the sale, expect it and do the work for it.
YES, the primary work for this is (duh) the soul work as that’s what people respond to.
But YES you will then have to decide and implement around what marketing / advertising / promotional strategies YOU are going to do to get that work out into the world.

But make no mistake –

When your filtering question is based on how do I make more money for the sake of money or grow my list ’cause growth, and you don’t have a foundation there around PURPOSE, around reminding yourself that the point of all of THAT is simply to allow you to be more you –

Then you will simply never GET to that place where you are being fully you.

Because, you haven’t prioritised it.

You haven’t created your life based on that being what matters.

You haven’t trusted that when you put first things first, everything else does and HAS to flow from there.

Instead you’ve given in to fear which says that if you don’t focus on money money money now you’ll never be safe.

Well, what does safety (or freedom) mean to you?

And, how’s that working out for you anyway?

In the end, you can twist it any which way you like, and make ALL the justifications in the world, but in the end it’s VERY VERY simple and you can’t argue:

You either lived for what mattered.

Or fell for everything else.
