STOP Freaking Waiting for Inspiration and Just Make Money NOW! A 72-Hour Plan to Bring in the Bucks!

Fact: if you really wanted to, you could start making money – serious money – in your business within the next 72 hours. That’s GENEROUS, I really wanted to put 24 hours. No, it wouldn’t be EASY and yes you would have to hustle your ass off and step WAY outside your comfort zone, but seriously –

Is it that comfy in there anyway?

Pretty much every entrepreneur I’ve ever known (including myself) could have been making BIG money and changing a lot of people’s lives literally YEARS before they actually started doing so, and the only thing that stopped them? Was them.

So let’s cut to the crunch: there is no ‘rule’ that says you need to go through a certain process or system in order to actually bring your business to life. You sure as heck don’t have to wait a requisite amount of TIME, and there’s nothing you need to have in terms of tools and systems that you can’t set up TODAY.

I totally get that it takes time to really figure out what you want to do, who for, and how it’s all going to play out in a way that is ALIGNED, but honestly? Figuring all that shit out shouldn’t mean you’re starving financially in the meantime.

Also, the figuring out process never ends so there is nothing to WAIT to be ready for. You want to make money online, have a business?

You start NOW.

You have something useful to share, you can help people? Get over yourself and your ‘OMG what ifs!’ and start NOW.

The only thing stopping you from ALREADY making money in your business in the way you WANT to is that you’re not out there claiming it and offering value to help people GET it!

Just so you know, here is a list of things you do NOT need to start making the big bucks:

*A pretty website

*Any website at all

*An existing list

*A membership site

*A business or product name

*A funnel

*A logo

*A blog

*’x’ amount of social media followers

*A pre-created program, product or service

*A fully defined mission of what you’re going to do and who for

All that you DO need can be set up in a day, a couple at the most.

All you REALLY need is a decision to make it happen and you need to of course have a way that you are AMAZING at helping people and delivering them value.

This comes from what’s already inside you, so stop thinking you need to ‘define’ it more and just tell me – what do YOU do best that you could absolutely start helping others with starting TODAY?

So in a nutshell, the process. The process for if you HAD to make money in the next 72 hours and decided that you were GOING to, come hell or high water?

Today, Day One:

1.   Get Leadpages or Instapage. I love Leadpages. Get the basic version, it’s about $37 a month if you pay monthly. This will take 5 minutes.

2.   Get Aweber to collect emails in. You can start with a $1 trial. This will also take 5 minutes max.
Connect Leadpages to Aweber – both Leadpages and Aweber have instruction videos showing you how to do this. It might make you want to pull your hair out and cry. Get over it and figure it out. This should take you 1 hour max.

3.   Create an optin page using a leadpages webinar or optin template. This will take 15 minutes-3 hours depending if you used leadpages before. If you haven’t, you’ll take a few hours to watch their (awesome) training videos and understand how it works. Of course you’ll also need to know what your free optin is going to be. Don’t overthink it – what do your prospective clients need help with NOW? Create an optin offering that – with the benefit clearly stated – in podcast or webinar form. Don’t worry about changing colours around, focus on the benefits of what you are offering and let Leadpages take care of the design. Set up in Aweber a welcome email they receive once optin in, which has details of the freebie in it.

4.   Create a redirect page – a page they get sent to after opting in, that offers a Free Strategy Session with you. Use the Leadpages Sales Letter Template. This page essentially tells them thanks for opting in for the freebie and that if they want the VIP experience and a personalised plan to get them results, then they can apply for a Free Strategy Session. Include some personal elements in here, such as how YOU got to where you are now. You will need to link this page to a Google Docs questionnaire, or Wufoo form. Figure out how to do that, there’s lots of free help on this online. Roughly 10% of people who optin for your freebie should apply for a Free Strategy Session. It will take you 1-2 hours to write and set up this page. Max. Keep powering on.

5.   Write a Facebook Ad to advertise your new optin, using this format: Register now for my FREE _________ ________ and learn _____________ ! Example: Register now for my FREE live training and learn how to write and speak to sell! That’s the title, below that list out 3-4 key benefits/points you’ll be sharing. Be sure to include a link. You can use www.canva.com to create (for free) a great picture to go with your ad. Give yourself 20 minutes max to write the ad and 10 to create an image, ideally using a pic of yourself with some relevant wording.

6.   Set up the Facebook Ad in your Ad Manager. I’m not going to go into how to do this – there are plenty of great free resources online on setting up Facebook Ads. Amy Porterfield is a good start. This is like any other part of business – if you want to figure it out and make it happen, you will. I give you 1 hour to set up your Facebook Ad. If you already know what you’re doing it should take 5 minutes. Sit back now and wait for approval (from Facebook for the ad I mean, not general world approval lol). Note: be sure you have gone through the whole process as a test to ensure your links are all working and so on.

So, we’re at roughly anyway from 3 hours to 6 hours work for Day One. Get onto it! At this point you will now have to wait for Facebook to approve your ad so the sooner you get all of this done the better. Sometimes an ad is approved right away. On rare occasions it takes up to a day.

Day Two (OR Day One continued):

a.    Don’t sit around waiting for Facebook to start getting your stuff out there. Take what you’ve put together for your Strategy Session offer and offer it directly on Facebook or to anyone (via personalised PM) you know who might benefit from working with you. Get over yourself – can you help people or not? If yes, offer to help them. They’re not going to magically know it if you don’t tell them. So, write them a short message or email or put it on your page offering a free Strategy Call for 5 people with ‘x’ problem looking for ‘x’ solution. Make it time limited. This might take you an hour max if you’re sending out a few individual messages not just posting a single post.

b.    Meanwhile, check your FB stats and whether you’ve received any Strategy Session applications right yet. Start calling as SOON as they come in. If you can’t get through, book a time. First, of course, you better know what your offer is going to be on the call. I recommend an 8-week private coaching program working with you to get from ‘a’ to ‘b’, where ‘a’ is a current problematic pain point and ‘b’ is where they want to be. Things you could include in your coaching program: group calls, FB group, podcasts or videos, worksheets. Doesn’t matter, it’s the OUTCOME that matters. You will create this program live, after you sell it, NOT now in advance. Take 60 minutes (max!) to map out what your offer is and the big benefit of working with you. Choose a price for it.

c.    Continue making calls until you’re making money. If your optin and your offer is good and on target for what people need help with, expect a MINIMUM of 1 in 10 people you speak to to sign up for it. Really it should be more like 2-3 out of 5, but even 1 in 10 is a starting point.

Day Two will take you anywhere from 1 hour to all day, depending how many calls you make and depending on how much time you spend trying to think of reasons not to actually just pick up the phone and start talking to people.

 

Day Three:

Continue speaking to people. Continue selling your offer. Fix up whatever details you need to fix up.

That’s it. I’ve seen people make as much as 50k in a 2-3 day period using this process. WITHOUT previous experience.

Does This Really Work?

If things don’t FIRST work then try try try again, but right now all you need to know is a) are you actually RIGHT NOW implementing a system like this in your business and b) are you regularly making OFFERS to people.

If you’re not, then even if you go through my whole system and God forbid it takes you longer than 72 hours you’ll be a helluva a long way further along then if you were NOT doing this.

Anyone who can HELP people and is willing to DO SO can start making money right away online. And if you want all of that pretty and nice to have stuff I mentioned earlier, add that in later.

I don’t know about you but to me it just seems crazy to deliberately make things tough on yourself financially because The Powers That Be on the Internet told you there is a certain drawn-out process you have to follow.

There’s not. Start now. Do your best with what you HAVE now. Improve and correct as you go.
