WHY I TURNED DOWN A GREAT ONGOING PRESENTING GIG

So earlier today I was asked to FILTER / “tweak” the way I do my normal speaking.

“After sitting with it today I’ve decided not to continue.

It would be hypocritical of me to teach or preach authentic messaging / content creation / sales if I’m required to filter my message in order to do so.

I completely understand and respect your requirement and suggestion not to focus too much on my own services and business, even though – as you said – it’s not deliberate, it just comes out automatically after this long!

The issue is: for me to have to stop and think about consciously NOT doing that I would be not speaking from the heart and therefore not sharing my truth and also would fail to be able to deliver my best content.

It would be unenjoyable to me to edit myself this way, and would also be unfair to your students and organisation as it would not in fact BE the real me, so therefore they would not be able to learn from me based on the truth about how I did create my success, nor about how in fact I do message or sell.

I am completely committed to 100% authenticity in my business, and part of that means letting my message and any writing or speaking I do to share that message flow unfettered from within.

As such I’m going to have to say thank you so much for the offer, and no thank you to continuing.”
