NOTHING WILL CHANGE UNLESS … (TIME TO PART THE ATMOSPHERE)

The atmosphere will not be parted without your belief.

Your belief will not rise without your submission.

Your submission will be withheld without your worship.

You will not have the strength to intercede if you don’t praise.

Your ability to walk forward in authority God has given you is muzzled if you do not surrender your way.

And you can not surrender your way if you don’t understand that there all you ever would want is His way.

Your way your way your way Lord, Yahweh Yahweh Yahweh.

Sometimes we don’t have the strength to do anything other than repeat the name of Jesus again and again and again.

Sometimes we can barely even press play on worship music let alone get up and roar.

Sometimes it’s a simple refrain, a word put in our hearts by the Spirit, and we start to proclaim it from a place where we don’t even feel a shimmer of hope, or power, or truth, yet we know it is there.

Great is your Name Lord, Great is your Name, Great is your Name!

Your words will shift the atmosphere.
Your choice to look to God even when you don’t know how will command earthly reality.
Your insistent and persistent faith in your greatest weakness, or overwhelm, or turmoil, is having a ripple effect right now in your life.

The supernatural power of God by His Spirit is at work in your tomorrow because you proclaim Him as God today!

Sometimes we need to stop looking for what God wants us to do, and simply exalt Him for who He has said we can be.

His child.
His beloved.
The apple of His eye.
The one He blesses with rest in Him and He by His Son in us.
The one He makes to lie down in green pastures,
leads beside still waters,
and prepares a table for in the midst of our enemies.

That’s us gorgeous. It’s you if you are His child. And if you are not, He is calling you to be.

Why else would you be reading this?

Sure, maybe right now it’s to dismiss, delete, whatever.

But maybe the pain gripping your heart, the feeling of being still lost despite all your searching, the exhaustion of that search, maybe all of that is tinged with hope.

“What if God does have a plan for me after all? What if there is a God who loves me? In whom there is no shame or condemnation, and I can be forgiven and set free?”

it’s not what if.

It’s definitely yes.

Perhaps today is the day to simply ask Him with a genuine ask to reveal His truth to and also IN you.

And for those who are already His child,

He has not called us to run to catch up with Him.

He has not given us a yoke of the world to bear and somehow fight past to get to Him.

He has called us to rest in Him. Be fed by Him. Be led according to Him. And to be empowered by grace through Him.

He has called us to good works.
To command the atmosphere.
To see His Kingdom come in our own lives and on this earth.
According to the gifts and instructions He gives each of us.

This is for His glory.
It is to and through and for and in and by Him.
But it also effects you.

Guess what else effects you?

When you don’t trust God to establish His faith in you, His ways and will in you, His voice and authority in you, through your belief that He can, wants to, and will.

I know it feels exhausting at times. Relentless. Too much.

But that is only when we carry still an idea that it’s on us.

That we could do or better see the things of God if only we had dealt with our addiction, sin, fatigue, or inability.

Actually it is as simple as saying great IS your Name Lord, and I believe you are greater than my desires or ideas outside of you.

Just saying that, in the depths of your ‘I can’t’ or ‘too much’, will shift the atmosphere.

Sometimes I think that we (definitely I!) think that parting the atmosphere, taking up our sword of certainty in God, walking in the authority He has given us, being His voice on earth, commanding this realm to shift and align to His purposes means we need to be running at full speed every day and slashing said sword here there and everywhere, demonstrating a great fervour or energy or amount of action, and we hold ourselves to a standard of ‘am I DOING enough for God?’

It’s not that these things won’t ensue when we are in Him, surrendered to Him, fed and led by Him wholly.

Of course they will.

Key point being … they will.

By Him. Not you.

His rivers will simply gush forth out of you.

The mouth of the river does not have to jump up and down and demonstrate its ability to allow the river to gush forth out of it.

It is moulded, sculpted, shifted, and changed, by the water which comes through it, and according to the design of God who called it to be in the first place.

God Himself as called you to be.

He is moulding and sculpting and shaping and changing you right now.

And He will cause His rivers to rush forth.

Do you know what you have to do?

The only thing?

To see all that SHOULD be seen by Him in and through you occur?

Believe.

Believe He will finish what He started in you.

Believe He will fill your lungs with His breath (and does).

Believe He puts His words in your mouth.

Believe He will cause your prayers, your actions, your professing, your proclaiming, to be His voice.

Believe He Himself prepares your way.

And blesses your path as you walk forward.

It’s easy to be swept up in all you could do in or by God.

But doing Kingdom work He never gave you is not actually Kingdom work.

So stop.

Wait for the next actual instruction,

and believe.
