DESIRE MORE. IT’S A GOD THING.

It’s hard, isn’t it?

This adjustment into Him and all He has for you thing?

I can’t tell you how many times I’ve flipped back and forth between my old desires, my natural self fears, my new desires in God, my underlying yearning to JUST be with Him, and then oh – ! Oh yeah! That whole WHAT ON EARTH IS MY LIFE BECOMING I LOVE IT BUT IDK HOW MUCH LONGER I CAN HOLD ON WHILE I’M IN THIS SUPERNATURAL BLENDER thing.

Just me? Cool.

The thing with life in God is. The thing with living ACTUALLY to and through and from and for your Creator is. The thing with FULLY surrendering the old you is. The thing with knowing there IS a new thing, a true thing, a God thing, a for YOU thing; better than ANY thing YOU could have come up with, imagined, or possibly in a million lifetimes manufacture is. The thing with REPEATEDLY looking to Him as your lens and beseeching Him for Kingdom eyes, and for Him to take, break shake anything NOT of Him and wake in you what IS is –

Well.

It’s kind of a thing. All of that. And the kind of thing it IS?

Is simultaneously the most wondrous, amazing, joy-inducing, exhilarating, and OH SO FREEING THANK YOU LORD FOR THE LETTING GO sort of thing whilst also being the most eyes-wide-open-what-even-is-this-sort of thing.

The sort of thing in which you wonder if you’re expecting TOO much too soon (or at all) even as you learn and lean into JUST how much God has for you; beyond what you would EVER dream of or expect!

And I guess what I came on here today to say is …

You’re not alone if you’re confused sometimes!

You’re not alone if you don’t know whether you should be expecting more – even putting a demand on more, per Isaiah, God’s will coming to pass NOW.

You’re not alone if you don’t know whether God just wants you right here right now in this VOID place (and when will it ever change!).

You’re not alone if sometimes you wonder if you’ve made the entire thing up and here you go again with ANOTHER idea of a supernatural thing and next minute you’re gonna end up back where you started with it ALL ON YOU.

Should I pray for more, or be happy with less? Should I expect supernatural transformation and revelation NOW, or should my patience endure forever? Should I jump up and down and take authority in Christ that such and such person in my life comes to God NOW, or do I enter into decades of intercession? Should I have a vision to reach millions, or see financial overflow FOR HIS GLORY now …

or am I just seeking my own ways and will again?

I get it.

I get it.

I get it.

Can I tell you what I know for sure in all of this?

I believe God wants us to desire MORE.

I think that as a people (believers) we are weak and SLOW in our desiring.

I think all in all we are CAUTIOUS where God wants us to be bold.

I think we pray like WOAH at TIMES … when things reach a tipping point, or when WE decide it’s *that* important that it’s gonna have to be a full faith thing, but mostly?

I think we hedge our bets.

And that even this whole conversation about whether or not we’re asking for too much is a work of the devil to cause us to worry about whether we’re accidentally being selfish or annoying God or not trusting Him and so we turn in endless circles worrying about what to even ASK for let along if we actually should!

I think the way forward right now is with a BOLD spirit, and one where we JUMP UP AND DOWN DAY IN AND DAY OUT (dancing with all our might like David before Him!) and INSIST that God’s will be manifested physically NOW NOW NOW in Jesus Name.

I think we are not even TOUCHING on the authority He has given us over ALL things on earth, the dominion we have as Kings and Queens of this earth!

And whilst I also think that one part of this is to simply stop looking through our OWN or FORMER lens of what provision … abundance … overflow … victory looks like, that also?

The whole bit where we worry about whether or not to expect, what or what not to pray for, if it’s too much or not enough or what RIGHT desire in God would actually look like could be DONE WITH IN A HEARTBEAT IF WE MADE IT AS SIMPLE AS THIS:

“LORD I SURRENDER MY WILL WAY AND THOUGHTS TO YOU ANEW TODAY!” (every day)

and

“LET MY PRAYERS BE YOUR VOICE.

LET MY BREATH BE YOUR BREATH.

LET MY DESIRES BE YOURS.

FILL ME TO OVERFLOWING WITH A BURNING HUNGER FOR WHAT YOU HUNGER FOR LORD, AND LET IT SPILL OUT FROM EVERY PART OF ME!”

Don’t you see?

The bit where you worry about what YOU should expect or have in place goes away when you realise you actually get to ASSUME your needs are abundantly taken care of in Him (it’s a Bible thing ;)) and so YOU DON’T NEED TO WORRY ABOUT ASKING RIGHT, and you get your VISION –

beyond your self.

Because here is the thing.

The thing about expecting a GOD thing.

It is by definition beyond YOUR vision.

So …

if you’re not sure what is ‘too much’ or ‘just right’ or where perhaps you’re expecting not ENOUGH –

could it be you’re still wrapped up in a lens of your own vision?

Could it be that you’re measuring expectations based on the natural?

And if so could it be as simple as repenting for that. Handing it over. And praying anew today with me –

“Lord. Give me supernatural vision to see what YOU see for where I should go. How I should grow. What should be my flow. And what I should ask for, plant in, expect, and SPEAK TO LIFE IN YOUR NAME AND ACCORDING TO AND FOR YOU.

In JESUS Name,

Amen”.

Now here is the ‘catch’. Or perhaps – the bit you forget.

YOU DON’T NEED TO FIGURE OUT HOW OR ‘CATCH’ RIGHT WHAT HE IS SAYING TO you.

You simply need to take Him at His word.

God says we hear His voice. He says we are led by His Spirit. He says He corrects our paths when we submit to Him and acknowledge Him.

So why not just DO that.

And then just BELIEVE Him.

Because all in all?

As a people we need to be desiring more.

ASSUMING that it is all to and through and for and from Him, and we just get to come along for the ride; WHERE ELSE WOULD WE WANNA BE?

And knowing that that is a GOD thing.
