Knowing with certainty what is for you in God
The things which are for you are the things you can’t look away from no matter how hard you try, no matter how many times you tell yourself to put it down or that you ‘shouldn’t’, no matter how much you question, and hem, and haw, and wonder ‘why me’, or ‘how’, or ‘but what will people think’, these things are still.freaking.there, and?
I’m not talking about a different kind of thing which won’t go away because hello STRONGHOLD, and you need to start claiming and walking out the deliverance you already HAVE as a child of God. I’m talking about the stuff which, deep down, or, more accurately, in your spirit where CERTAINTY is found, thank you Lord, it’s simply:
Yes.
This thing is as for me as for me can be because it is a PART of me which God Himself planted in me and it’s not going away because God is not supernaturally removing something He built into me!
Even though people MAY well think some kind of thing about it.
Even though you MAY well have no clue or idea.
And even though it may make absolutely ZERO sense, because, um, hi – isn’t part of the whole entire point of walking with God and in the path He has written you that IT MAKES NO SENSE TO THE NATURAL MIND?! And isn’t that supernatural sort of a thang what you WANTED?
Okay then.
One way you can know, and I mean know what you already know (lol!) is to ask yourself one of my favourite journal prompt ‘exploratories’:
“How would I feel if this thing WERE supernaturally surgically removed? Like if it were taken away from me and God Himself said I could never have it again?”
I love this question because it makes it so clear whether WE made up the thing or (often the case) are trying to persuade ourselves into it, as opposed to whether it is MEANT.
Example:
You’re dating somebody and cannot for the life of you figure out what the best or right or definite move is, whether to go forward or whether it’s NOT the thing. You ask ‘the’ question and realise … wow. I would feel relieved that I don’t have to make that choice! Or, you ask ‘the’ question, and something within you which is NOT attachment-y / yuck-y / clearly not of God-y but instead a quiet still and definite knowing says … NO. That would just be wrong. It doesn’t fit right that this thing would be taken away. I am meant to be here!
Example:
You’re considering launching or creating something, or re-branding (again! I see you, fellow creative geniuses who continue to scheme up new things you maybe should be instead of just going all in with who He made you to be), and you ask THE question. You feel either relieved that the choice has been taken out of your hands or OUTRAGED because this.is.meant.to.be.
Another way you can get your #truthtalk on is to simply be real with yourself as to whether or not this thing is continually just IN there. In you, I mean. Like, you run from it. Avoid it. Circle away or around it. Question and doubt and worry over it. Make up seventy bajillion other things to direct your focus or energy to instead. And it’s still freakin’ there!
Example:
You have it on your heart to forthrightly speak about a thing, but you feel squirmy and ‘who am I’ yet … it’s still there.
Or:
You feel a pull to stand up for something, yet it’s not quite ‘the done thing’ in the circles you move in, but the more you DON’T do it, the more it bubbles away within you TO do it.
What we’re talking about really, with all of this, is simply knowing who you are and BEING that.
We’re also talking about the fact that when God has given you a gift … task … mission … characteristic … it WILL keep on burning in you til you give in.
You WILL feel compelled by or fascinated by, or potentially triggered by (since you’re not doing it!) other people talking about this thing.
You will ALWAYS want to learn or know more about it.
You will ALWAYS be naturally drawn to it.
And when you FINALLY given in, guess what will happen?
You will wonder why the ACTUAL you thought you should do or be or walk forward with anything other than this, because THIS IS SO EASY BLESSED AND FUN! You seem to have some kind of supernatural access code to do this thing in a way others can’t! HELLO GRACE. All of which is not to say it won’t have it’s spiky bits but even THAT …
will just be part of the learning flow and grace.
Can I ask you?
What is that thing for you right now? Maybe more than one area comes to mind!
And also?
What do you think might be different this year if TODAY became the day you just said –
“Okay God. I’m in. Let’s do this thing!”
I’d love to see. Wouldn’t you?!
And now let me tell you about one of those things for ME.
All year last year I was drawn ever more to this, yet also squirmy-avoided it. Wondering “really”, or “already”, or “eek! What will THOSE people think!”
But knowing,
the entire time,
THIS IS A THING GOD IS LEADING ME TO THING ON.
That thing is teaching and talking and Holy Spirit transmitting on the topic of supernatural authority, and supernatural overflow.
I am FASCINATED by this area of walking life out in God.
I am COMPELLED to go daily deeper in my own life, as well as to teach and share and espouse in every way on, TAKING THE AUTHORITY WE ARE GIVEN IN CHRIST HERE ON EARTH.
To see HEAVEN on earth, and God’s Kingdom come in our own lives, business, families, finances, and beyond!
To EXPECT that we ARE healed. Delivered. Set free. And that THERE IS AN OVERFLOW IN OUR FAITH, OUR FINANCES, OUR FAMILIES, AND OUR PURPOSE WORK BEYOND WHAT WE CAN CATCH OR KEEP.
A month or so back God gave me a prophetic word on there being a supernatural outpouring BEYOND WHAT CAN BE CAUGHT OR HELD.
This applies to many things.
But for those who are entrepreneurs who know it is time to walk forward fully in faith as who God MADE you to be?
It applies to the reach and extent of your message, your money flow, your ministry, your marketing, all of it.
