THE SECRET TO EVERYTHING!
There is one thing I’ve been doing since early 2012 which has truly changed my life, made me literally millions of dollars, helped me to understand myself and my purpose more, given me all of the information I need to know about who my soulmate clients are and what makes them buy from me, allowed me to tap in to every single creative idea I’ve had and sold (hence the millions!), helped me to deal with my shit and stress and overwhelm when it banks up on me, it’s been my escape, it’s been my saviour, it’s been my comfort, it’s been a RELEASE, it’s helped me grow, it’s helped me know, it’s helped me create my entire fucking LIFE, it is, quite simply, the MOST POWERFUL FUCKING THING I’VE EVER DONE and it all started with just ONE simple decision –
Before I tell you what the one thing is, if you’ve not already guessed, can I just ask you something?
You know it really doesn’t have to be this complicated, right?
All of the time you spend trying to figure it the fuck out, wondering why it doesn’t WORK, berating yourself and at times hating the world because things won’t do what you want and you just can’t seem to GET there is time you’re wasting distracting yourself from the real thing that success has ALWAYS been about, and without which?
You’ve got no fucking chance.
If success is a product of who you ARE, if even what you DO in order to create said success can only ever be a reflection of who you are and what you therefore expect from yourself AND the world, then it stands to reason that the most powerful thing you can do to create change is to start by changing who you are.
If you think I’m going to do some sort of big reveal or build up here: think again.
But let’s talk about this for a moment, really talk about it.
Because I think that you know.
I think you fucking KNOW what you should be doing, what the day to day HAS to be about, and I think you’re resisting like a motherfucker.
Can I tell you?
That feeling you feel inside of you … that clenching … that STRUGGLE … that GRIP … that LACK of fucking joy and inspiration and self-satisfaction in a GREAT way and pride?
That’s the feeling of you not going all in.
Not doing what you said you’d do and know you must.
And worse still not being who you know you COULD be.
I want to say not being who you know you really ARE, but let’s get real here:
You are who you show yourself to be! You are NOT your potential, I’m sorry. Every person OUT there has a freaking destiny and a purpose, something amazing they can do with their life and ultimately become. Every ONE of us has it within us to create our every dream. You wanna be a baller in ALL ways, you CAN!
But talk is cheap, hot air is pointless, and dreaming big without making shit happen just makes you full of it.
Sooner or later you’re going to have to look at the facts, and the facts are these:
Success is a motherfucking HABIT, baby.
I told you I didn’t have a big reveal here, and I honestly think it’s time you stopped looking for one.
Look back, take a GOOD look around you at the year just gone and all the ones before it. The stuff you are PROUD of, the areas of your life where you OWN it and others wonder how it is you can be so GOOD are the ones, plain and simple, you consistently showed up in.
Day in.
Day out.
The ones you’re struggling with, you feel like you’re missing something, you find yourself searching constantly for magical answers and you’re SURE that there’s more to it than meets the eye?
There’s not.
You just didn’t commit and then do the work.
Day in.
Day out.
So if you’re going to get OBSESSIVE about anything as we move into the New Year it stands to reason that you stop being obsessed with success and ‘big change!’, and looking for something which will propel you there overnight, and you commit instead to BEING the person who simply does the work.
Day in.
Day out.
All the way.
From the inside out.
I look back at my business as it is right now and I can tell you hand on my heart that the only reason I’m here (which means also that the only reason YOU are here, listening to me) is because I committed to doing one simple thing daily, and with the exception of less than 5 days a year ever since I then DID it.
Usually for less than 30 minutes a day.
Often times when tired or in resistance about it, feeling like there was no point and it was lame!
I didn’t think about it.
I never gave myself permission to NOT do it if I wasn’t in the zone or sure of what to say.
I did it without any particular intent for it to ‘have’ to achieve or do something for me either.
I just did it.
Day in.
Day out.
Because I’ve written and blogged every day for nearly 5 years now, and added daily calls to action with it (and several times a week for another 5 or so before that), I have:
Made millions of dollars –
Grown an audience of tens of thousands –
Helped me to understand myself and my purpose more –
Given me all of the information I need to know about who my soulmate clients are and what makes them buy from me –
Allowed me to tap in to every single creative idea I’ve had and sold (hence the millions!)
Helped me to deal with my shit and stress and overwhelm when it banks up on me –
It’s been my escape. It’s been my saviour. It’s been my comfort. It’s been a RELEASE. It’s helped me grow, it’s helped me know, it’s helped me create my entire fucking LIFE, it is, quite simply, the MOST POWERFUL FUCKING THING I’VE EVER DONE, it’s changed my LIFE and it all started with just ONE simple decision –
I decided that if I wanted to be a writer and make money online FROM it, then I should write and sell every day.
I don’t know what it is YOU need to commit to doing every day, and there’s probably more than one thing. But I do know this:
There are 3 areas of my life where I am absolutely ON POINT and am able to largely maintain the exact results I want AND continually grow and improve.
These are making money online, fitness, and mindset / self belief / knowing I can do anything.
Funnily enough, the 3 things I’ve done every single day for years now, in fact over 20 years for the latter two, and in each case for typically less than 30 minutes a day?
Writing and selling online.
Working out and eating well.
Journaling / mindset work.
EVERY GOD DAMN DAY!!! I’ve made these things who I AM, and my results are nothing more than a reflection of that.
There IS no magic solution.
This next year can be another fucking year in which you run around like a headless chook, back and forth and distracted by BULLSHIT, or it can be the year you finally give in to being who you MUST be in order to actually move forward. I know I’ve already chosen what I’ll be layering in, and I am fully aware that the 10 million dollar goal and ALL my other goals will come from a simple domino effect.
Day in.
Day out.
Doing the work.
SUCCESS IS JUST A HABIT.
The secret to everything is simple:
Stop looking for the secret to fucking anything, and simply do the daily work that the version of you is THERE would have had to do to be so.
