THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN BEING A STARVING ARTIST AND A SUCCESSFUL ONE

I want to tell you something that may very well shock you, scare you, terrify you or simply sadden you with its truth and I hope that it DOES.

This will hurt …

But you need to hear it.

And the truth is this:

If you don’t use it you WILL lose it and one day it will be too late to do the things you were born to do, know your life was birthed for, the things you’ve waited so long to be ready for and have so desperately and desperately and DESPERATELY craved since before time began.

You will come to it, one day in the future when finally things have quietened and slowed and you’re ready and you think yes –

Now it is time.

And you will put pen to paper and paint to canvas and you to the WORLD and you will try –

Finally –

After waiting for your entire life –

To unearth –

And the spark that was in you since before time began and the power you held back and the YOU which you have cried for more times than what you could ever recall will simply –

No longer be there.

It will be clunky and it will be messy and it will be rusty and it will simply not FLOW and perhaps if you persevere it will become –

Something.

But never

THE thing

It could have been was meant to be and always HAD to be because if you do not fucking WATER something then eventually it fucking DIES.

But that’s a side note a by the by and I suppose not OH so relevant to what I actually came to say today unless of course you’re not creating AND you are waiting in which case it is EVERYTHING but EVERYTHING but EVERYTHING and just –

The difference between being a successful artist versus?

A broke fucking starving fucking nobody fucking gives a fucking fuck one.

Because here is the difference and what you need to know but NOW, if you actually care about your art enough to (FIRSTLY) fucking create it and (NEXTLY) to fucking MONETISE it:

The flow is the flow is the flow is the flow and ALL you want to do is be in the flow.

It’s where you create it’s where you unleash it’s where you go OH so deep within and you let it out and out and out and it is EVERYTHING but EVERYTHING and you want the entire.

world.

to fuck.

the fuck.

off.

This is where the art is made.

This is where the you is made.

This is where your WORLD is made.

This is what you came here to DO and if you DON’T go within this way then the rest of it is POINTLESS and it will certainly –

Be impossible –

To make money or get famous for being YOU –

Since you’re not BEING you –

And all.

But after that

And after that

And this is EVERY day

If you want to make MONEY from this art, once unleashed as it MUST be, if you want to be KNOWN for this art, once done in its purity, if you want to let the world SEE this art, once you’ve created it for its own sake as it only CAN be, and if you want –

(It’s okay to admit it!)

To be famous for what is inside of you and for the ESSENCE of you –

Then you are going.

To have to.

Do the.

Fucking.

WORK.

Of marking and selling and delivering and EMPIRE-ing that shit.

And you will resist

And RESIST

And you will HATE IT AND HATE IT AND HATE IT

To be out of the flow

And into the do

And away from the you

And having to follow a LIST and having to THINK and having to create on COMMAND and having to jump

Through hoops

If only the ones constructed

And you will want to escape and to run and to hide and you will say – !

I’M NOT GOING TO DO THIS ANYMORE!

From here on out it’s just me and my ART! FUCK THE WORLD AND FUCK THE WORLD AND FUCK THE WORLD!

And you will stamp your feet and grit your teeth and snarl and grown and insist that from this moment forward you will ONLY do what you God damn FEEL like doing!

THIS is the difference between being a starving artist and a successful one.

YES you can make money doing what you love.

YES you can get famous being you.

YES you can monetise your MESSAGE.

YES you can ignore and ignore and IGNORE the WORLD and FUCK the world while you go within (first, ALWAYS first, before all else, every damn DAY!) and you unleash

But once you have let it all out and it’s out and it’s done and you are SPENT well THEN

If you want to make MONEY as a result of having gone into FLOW and letting IT flow well THEN

You’re going to have to get down to the business of doing business.

You’re going to have to put your fucking MUSIC on

And your fucking TIMER on

And your fucking EMPIRE BUILDING pants on

And you simply

SUCK IT THE FUCK UP

Everybody wants to make money doing what they love

What you have to understand is that I order to do so you first must DO WHAT YOU LOVE AND FUCK AND BLOCK OUT THE WORLD and that that is the ONLY way the ONLY way the ONLY way to be in FLOW but that in order to then receive the MONEY for it and (also) make the DIFFERENCE from it?
