I’ve been having a lot of conversations about faith lately. This is hardly surprising because my choice is to live a LIFE of faith, of seeing without eyes, and being led by what IS rather than what I think or what I think I see.
I say ‘my choice’ because it would be a lie to simply say I DO live a life of walking on water. Which is what faith is! I mean … I do. But sometimes I flip right out of that and ROYALLY into my own mind and its pretty freakin’ limited ways. Not to downplay the power of the mind! But it is what it is – and what it is NOT is a faculty which sees beyond its own sight and knowing!
The spirit on the other hand, ah –
now that is a whole THING. Yours, I mean. Have you ever met it? Like … REALLY met it? Have you ever truly and ruly (lol) tuned in to the INFINITE MAGNITUDE of the part of you that is actually you? And have you ever made a decision,
that from here on out:
I’m going to live my life looking through a lens of what I see know hear and sense in THERE,
REGARDLESS of whether it remotely appears to be true, present or relevant HERE,
being the actual real thing.
But, fair warning –
Here is what will happen when you do:
You will realise that EVERYTHING you thought you should depend upon, when you were learning from or following the worlds ways and the common path of success is not only wrong, but harmful, exhausting, WORSE than pointless, and –
EVERYTHING you’ve sensed all along,
is real.
And when you realise that? Like … REALLY realise it? Drop into the actual holy wonder and WHAT even of it?
Then EVERYTHING in your life is going to have to change.
But when I say everything –
I mean EVERYTHING.
The way you expect money to work, and the way it thus does.
The way you expect problems to be sorted out, and the way they then are.
The level of effort and exertion you need to put in to figure a thing out, and the fact that it’s now um – not.
The way you expect TIME to work, oh yeah – did you think about that?!
And most of all perhaps –
THE SIMPLE FACT OF THE MATTER THAT YOU WILL ALL OF A SUDDEN REALISE THAT EVERYTHING YOU’VE BEEN EXPECTING, AND SEEING AS NORMAL,
is like … the tiniest little fluff stuck on the end of your finger piece of nothingness compared to what you COULD be.
Can I be honest with you for a second?
I literally have no idea where I am going with this piece right now, and about three times already I’ve considered deleting it because it is kind of coming out one painful drip at a time. But we WILL PRESS FORWARD REGARDLESS, because I know there is a message for you here today.
And perhaps the message is just this:
The person who is willing to fall but who fundamentally trusts they won’t is the person whose faith is most unwavering, most steadfast, most SOLID, and therefore most LIKELY to propel them forward into the place where THE THINGS WHICH ARE NOT SUPPOSED TO BE POSSIBLE OCCUR.
Because if you think about it –
by definition you’re either someone who says ‘this is what will just BE’ and then traipses gallantly forward expecting it to appear in her wake, THUS YOU ARE THE PERSON WHO TRAIPSES FORWARD EXPECTING THE THINGS and we all know how things overall go for THAT sort of person; they just – work! Show up! She IS the leader and forerunner. Yay!
Or?
You’re the person who barely takes half a motherfreakin’ step without questioning wondering doubting and second-guessing whether she SHOULD take the step, whether it’s a GOOD step, a RIGHT step, or whether she should first paint the step a different shade of ‘do you really think I can though?’
So maybe it is actually as simple as THIS:
The person who keeps looking and walking forward in a continual state of what most would consider delusion,
is the person whose delusions are her norm.
Because she just keeps on walking INTO them.
The moral of course, being this:
Don’t be afraid to miss once in a while. It’s a heck of a lot better to say ‘oh! I guess I DID make that one up then!’ every now and again, whilst all in all living a supernaturally led and manifested life,
then what it is to be the person who conceptually believes in the supernatural yet is always waiting to be sure it’s safe to step out of the boat.
