YOU DON’T HAVE A DISCIPLINE ISSUE. YOU HAVE AN ISSUE OF NOT TRUSTING YOURSELF TO JUST BE.

You don’t have a discipline issue. You have an issue of not trusting yourself to just be.

Let me explain. And it’s gonna get contrary at first.

If you don’t have a discipline of leaning ON discipline at times, probably a lot more than what you realise it should have to do, you are very unlikely to create the life you want, or?

The one you are meant to have.

Yeah yeah, we all know that it’s not about DOING because we came here to BE a thing, but if you’ve been around for more than a minute or three as a ‘messenger who came here to pour out a thing, and do it the way SHE was born to do; so stuff the so-called rules of what to do!’ you know that the whole BE-ing thing?

Just becomes its own kind of trap as well.

A few years ago this hit me hard, when I couldn’t figure out why on earth I felt so MOROSE so much of the time, despite that I was absolutely – best as what I could figure out, so help me Lord because I know I don’t know EVERYTHING – not only doing what I was meant to do in that season but also yes it WAS all based on being.

I walked and walked and walked, musing and pondering and tossing things around internally before it hit me –

I felt like I had to now BE a certain way in order to sustain what I’d built. Yes that BEING was based on me being me, but it also felt in a way like a ‘persona’ me. Like something the internet expected. The outlier who wasn’t gonna stop writing | speaking | creating what she was born to, so there! Not a bad persona as far as persona’s go, but if you’re a fellow artist-entrepreneur you know there is NOTHING more God-awful than feeling as though we HAVE to do or be, well – anything! Yes even ourselves! We HATE to be put under command. And we don’t fundamentally BELIEVE in the idea of HAVING to do or be a thing in order to generate an outcome.

Because what we actually believe is … IT WILL HAPPEN BECAUSE I BELIEVE IT.

Ps The Bible says that too, so no need to feel bad or reckless about this way of thinking! The truth is that God has planted a knowing in you about the fact that you DO get to let go, trust, and let HIM.

Question is …

did you catch the memo about the fact that you do still gotta do stuff, and you do still gotta show up and be you? “Say what now?! Isn’t that exactly what you’ve just been making a case for me NOT having to do Kat?” Humph!

I hear you. And here is what I have learned. Which, I’ll be honest, I CONTINUE to wrestle with day in and day out! Honestly, I could just about throttle myself about it some days!

What this means is – you don’t do OR adhere to being a thing IN ORDER TO GET AN OUTCOME.

In your innermost being you know that to do so is some next level baloney! And that’s why you rail against it, so much so that you will even flat out sabotage your OWN deepest desires before you will follow through on something you were literally born to be or do, if you feel like you are following through SO THAT –

you get paid
your business grows
your message is seen
your relationships progress
or even –
you help people!

I want you to understand today that your continual ‘railing against / I don’t WANNA’ vibes are not an indication that you need to be led on a leash to ever properly follow through on ANYTHING, but instead they are a RECOGNITION FROM THE SPIRIT GOD GAVE YOU that you don’t do or BE a thing in order to generate money … success … results … outcomes … or even to be of service.

You do it,
simply,
because it is what you are meant to do.

And the results,
simply,
show up because THEY are what is true.

And THAT, my fellow rebel-preneur who actually just wants to do what God sent her here to do, is what the faith bit is all about.

It’s believing and knowing that what is meant to happen will happen because it is what is MEANT to happen, in accordance with Gods will and timing, and YOU JUST SAID YES, and then?

Did today’s work today.

Doing today’s work today is not ‘so that’ God can pay you. Show up for you. Or even cause your work to be of value or impact.

It’s simply –

because it’s you being you.

And your FAITH allows Him to take care of the rest.

You don’t have a discipline issue gorgeous.

You have an issue with not realising that it’s not your job to discipline yourself to outcomes.

Even ones about who you be.
