CHERISHED. TREASURED. CHOSEN.

If you understood how much the Father loves you, seeks you, pursues you even, has CHOSEN you –

would you still be wrestling with the endless fight to figure out it is He would have you do,
in order to be enough?

Simply put:

No you would not, because you would understand that His love is not conditional,
and His grace cannot be won,
bought,
nor fought for or earned, even with all the might in the world.

We are so conditioned to a worldly way which tells us that being a good human is dependant on what we have done,
or at a very minimum what we maintain and BE (i.e. beauty),

in order to do our bit.

Your value is a product perhaps of your family background or status, given or earned,
coupled with your own efforts, rising, contribution, and / or what you somehow give to the world just by being you.

Even if we accepted that this IS an acceptable lens, the question is –
who is in charge of determining what has worth, and what does not?

Who decides your beauty, your energy, your presence, your teachings, your knowledge, or what you have built or perhaps given is enough to make you of high value,

of medium,

or no?

And what if the rules change? What if society shifts? Or you move to a different location, where what was considered high status is of no regard, and all of a sudden you find you don’t have the skillset to be of use?

How long do you get to quickly switch tracks, and prove –

I am worthy! I belong! I am wanted! NEEDED, even! I have been a good citizen and so I get to stay here, perhaps even to do so in comfort!

When we encounter God, but TRULY encounter Him, and the depths of His love, His peace which surpasses all human understanding and so we can not actually KNOW the depths of it in all,

yet in our spirit HIS Spirit gives us an understanding we simply receive,
our natural side not needing to comprehend,
or even feel,

there is, in those moments where we are WITH Him,
our self and our struggles let go,

a certain
and absolute
knowing.

And what it is is that He is saying to you “CHILD –

You are treasured.
You are cherished.
You are chosen.
You are the apple of my eye.
My favour goes before and beside and all around you like a shield.
I send my angels to guard and protect you.
YOU HAVE THE EAR OF THE LORD,
and I put my very words in your mouth.

You are CHERISHED.
You are TREASURED.
You are ANOINTED.
You are CHOSEN.

You are my precious precious child, and I will make my dreams for you your dreams,
my ways your ways,
your belief in me, and in He who I sent, my son Jesus Christ, has MADE YOU HIS RIGHTEOUSNESS.

In Him and by Him in you you are holy.
I have lifted you out of the miry clay, set you apart and on eagles wings.

I CHOSE YOU.
And when you chose ME,
and in doing so surrendered the free will I gave you and thus the YOU who you could be without me,
my highest blessings
my greatest favour
and the full authority of the Christ, carried out in you by the very same Spirit who raised Him from the dead,
is now IN you
for my glory,

AND I WILL NEVER STOP PURSUING YOU
and showing the depths of my love FOR you”.

Can I ask you a question?

Have you considered?

If the Creator of the Universe and all that is in it,
He from whom every good thing comes,
has chosen YOU.
CHERISHES you.
Sees you as His precious precious child.
TREASURES you, and delights in watching you draw near to Him, as you grow –

why would you think you have to earn His favour?

Work your way into His will?

Or at the very least be a perfect enough child,
to be loved just for you?

You are loved because He IS love.

And you are treasured,
cherished,
anointed,
set apart,
and called,

because that is simply how it is
for the apple of His eye.

So exhale,
and exhale,
and exhale,
once more.

Put down the last of the things you’ve been clinging to,
scared to trust
worried you haven’t done enough to earn His love
or favour

And simply –

acknowledge once more the free and impossible to earn gift of salvation,
by grace,
and every good thing on earth and in heaven,
the inheritance
of His chosen
His child
you.

“Show me your ways today Lord, and I thank you that you do.

Thank you for this day, and I give it ALL to you.

I say not my way,
or will,
or idea of what would equate to my worth,
and instead everything –
of you.

Order my steps.
Direct my path.
Guide and lead me,
as your child who you love.

I surrender anew
And I thank you that you continue to show me how every part of your word is true
and true for me.

In Jesus Name I pray,
Amen.
